Holley – 3 year old spayed female. Holley’s 85 year old owner passed away and Holley needs a new home preferably with an older woman who has time for a sweet affectionate dog. Holley would sit on her owner’s lap or snuggle beside her in her chair. She likes children and other dogs but has not spent much time with either. When she gets excited she sometimes urinates but the former owner’s son with whom she now lives states he has made real progress with her housetraining. Holley’s shots are up to date; she is in the Columbus, Ohio, area.

Ruby – 3 year old spayed female, black and tan wire haired. She is housebroken and crate trained, up to date on shots and in excellent health.
Ruby is a sweet, calm little dog easy to groom. She gets along with small dogs, cats and older children. Her family recently took in a large breed puppy, have a toddler and another baby on the way. Ruby is no longer happy in this situation. Her owners feel a new home without these stressors would be best for her and have reluctantly decided to search for a new place for her. Ruby is living near Dayton, Ohio.

Ruby – 3 years old, spayed female. Ruby was the companion of an elderly woman who was forced to give her up. She is active but quite independent. Her foster says she can “talk” in a series of little whines. She would be best suited in a home with no young children and no cats. She gets along with other dogs and likes to play. She comes when called and walks nicely on the leash. She is being fostered in the Cincinnati area.

Lucky – approximately 5 months old, weighs 12 pounds. Lucky was abandoned at a Laundromat but was taken home at the end of the day by someone who contacted us. His foster caregiver says he’s a sweet affectionate little boy. He’s a little tall so perhaps there’s something besides dachshund in his background. Lucky has been given his shots and has been wormed. His foster is working on his housetraining. Lucky is living in the Cincinnati area.

Rusty – Red Long Hair Dachshund – M (N),  7 yrs., approx. 19 lbs., current on vaccinations and on Heart Worm preventative. Rusty needs a home where he is not left for lengthy periods, he experiences separation anxiety.  Would do well with gentle, older children and a home with another dog, not multiple pets.  Rusty is smart, enjoys walks, car rides and a fenced yard.
