Hi! I am a 6-7 year old dachsie possibly beagle mix. I am looking for a new forever home. You see my master, was very, very ill and could no longer take care of me. She had to go to a special home for very sick people and they said "NO DOGS ALLOWED". I was not happy, when I went to my foster Mom's house, However, I am no longer upset and we have worked through my "flaws". I am now looking for a new owner to love and protect. My health is very good. I am current on all vet care, and I have been spayed. I am housebroken, and get along with other animals; even though I wish they wouldn't take my toys. I like to take walks and I LOVE to go for rides in the car. If you want a loyal, loving companion and friend for life, please fill out an application, so I can meet you. |
| *** ADOPTION PENDING*** Limo is a sleek, lean, shiny, black (and tan), dachshund.....similar to a "special" limousine; hence the name Limo. This little 12 pound, 1 1/2 year old boy is very friendly and seems to like everyone so far, and enjoys playing with a dachsie pupppy, in his foster home. Unfortunately, this little boy's owners met up with some hard times, which meant that Limo was stuck tied outside ALL of the time. Now most dachshunds will happily spend some time outdoors, 24/7 is not what they want or need. We are so happy that we were able to rescue him. Limo is in very good health and has a beautiful coat of hair. He is doing quite well, on his housebreaking. He is having all of his vet work done and will be neutered this week. Limo will then be ready to go a "forever" home | ![]() |

Smokey -- Black and tan smooth coated Dachshund, male (N), 2 1/2 yrs., 16 lbs., up to date on vaccinations, heartworm neg., on preventative. Nice body type and a shiny black coat. He is very energetic and determined, but also has a "soft side" and wants to be included as a member of the family. Enjoys a warm lap, lounging on the furniture and sharing the family bed at night. Smokey is people friendly, good with gentle, older children and travels well. For the most part is housebroken, with occasional accidents. His favorite things are spending most of the day outside, racing around the yard, wrestling and squirrel watching with the other dogs in his foster family. Would be happiest in a home with another dog, near his own size. Smokey needs a home with someone there most of the time and a securely fenced yard. He does not like being left or caged for lengthy periods. Smokey is a nice little dog and would fit best into a home that's compatible with his habits and needs. |
